Do I have to purchase my tickets in advance?
Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance. We strongly recommend purchasing your tickets online through our online booking service.
What is your cancellation policy? Can I get a refund or reschedule the tour?
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable but may be rescheduled for another date so long as we are given at least 7 days notice prior to the tour date. Please contact us and we will do our best to get you rescheduled on the soonest available tour date.
Can I get a refund or reschedule my tickets?
If a tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?
At this point in time we do not have a waiting list.
Do you offer discounted tickets for seniors?
We do not offer discounted tickets for seniors at this time.
Can children come on the tour?
Currently our tours are adult only tours. Our tour may require us to enter into a bar area of a restaurant, and as such, per Alaska State law, no one under the age of 18 is allowed.
Do the tours begin and end at the same place?
No, but the start and end are only a few small city blocks apart. If you need help with directions after the tour, your guide is an expert on the area and can help you with directions.
How far do we walk? What physical ability is required?
Our tour requires a certain level of physical stamina. We walk approximately 1 ½ miles in length including one moderate hill descent and climb with some stairs. We will be on the go for approximately 3 hours. On busier evenings, seating may be limited or unavailable in some locations.
Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, because of the route required for the tour, and due to occasional crowds and tight spaces, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on the tour at this time.
Are restrooms available on the tour?
Yes, there are several restrooms available throughout the tour.
What if it’s raining on the day of my tour?
It certainly happens! Given our unique geographic location between the water and the mountains, weather systems can develop from seemingly nowhere! Tours are conducted rain or shine. Please dress appropriately and bring an umbrella or water repellant jacket if you desire.
Can we shop on the tour?
To keep the food as fresh as possible, we stick to a pretty tight schedule, so shopping during the tour won’t be possible. However, the tour offers a great opportunity to discover shops, galleries and boutiques you’ll certainly want to return to! Your guide will be more than happy to offer suggestions of some of his or her favorite shopping hot spots as well!
Would locals enjoy this tour?
Absolutely! We try our best to keep our tours on the cutting edge of the culinary scene— chances are, even locals will discover a new restaurant favorite while on the tour! This is a perfect option for entertaining visiting family and friends, going on a date, team building, etc.
Should I tip the guide?
Tips to the guide are always appreciated and they are thankful for your generosity! If you feel you received excellent service– 15% to 20% of the original ticket price is the industry standard.
What types of food are served?
On this tour we feature the best of Alaska! Here in America’s largest state we have a bounty of fresh ingredients to pick and eat from. Our focus is on FRESH, LOCAL and ORGANIC ingredients; and given that Anchorage is nestled right up along the Cook Inlet, all things seafood are our specialty!
How much food is served?
Most guest finish the tour saying they’ve left full and more than satisfied, however, we do understand that appetites differ.
What beverages are provided on the tour?
Throughout the tour we sample local coffee, beer or wine, and champagne. Water is available at most locations but not always apart of every locations menu. It is suggested to bring a bottle of water with you for those particular instances.
What if I’m a vegetarian?
At this time, we do not have vegetarian substitutions available on the tour for all locations visited. As such, we cannot provide you with an alternative or deviate from the set menu for the evening. Some items may happen to be vegetarian, others are not. If you are a strict vegetarian, you may not be leaving the tour as satisfied as others, so this may not be the right tour for you.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We are unable, at this time, to accommodate any special dietary needs or allergies. The menu for the evening is a set menu for which we are unable to deviate. Please let us know in advance if you have a dietary restrictive concern and we will do our best to let you know if the tour is right for you.
Are photos allowed?
Say “cheese”! Yes—we love for you to take pictures—just remember to tag us! 😉 We do ask, however, that no video or audio recording take place on the tour.
Are tours offered only in English?
Tours are only offered in English, however, if you have supply of your own interpreter, we would be more than happy to accommodate so long as we are given advance notice at the time of booking.
Can you take a party larger than 16?
Our goal is to make your dining experience as personal, hands on, and intimate as possible. As such we do not accommodate groups of more than 16 for our regularly scheduled tour. If you have a group larger than 16, we may be able to schedule a private tour at a different time. Please contact us personally for more information and pricing.
